Social Contribution

Measures for global warming are an important issue that social responsible companies must take seriously. We will make active and continuous efforts to promote energy-saving measures in the future.

• We are working on the greening of rooftops and walls surfaces to create an environment full of greenery.
• As energy-saving measures, we have installed solar panels to our warm water supply system, reuse rainwater, and recycle raw garbage. In addition, we also employed light shielding film to enhance the efficient usage of air-conditioners and has introduced a water-saving toilet system.
• Tokyo Big Sight Inc. established the Environmental strategy meeting for the purpose of promoting the approach that considers the environment more effectively. We have Promotion System of Energy Management.

• We fully cooperate in the running of the TOKYO MARATHON, the largest city marathon in Asia, by providing grounds for the finishing point and oraganizing MARATHON EXPO.
• We cooperate with the New Year's Fire Review of Tokyo Fire Department, a traditional annual event on New Year's Day.
• We support the management and activities of the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra and Tokyo Metropolitan University, contributing to the improvement of cultural and educational activities.
• We have set up an information office for sightseeing in Tokyo in addition to supporting management and activities of the Tokyo Convention and Visitors Bureau ( TCVB ) for the promotion of the sightseeing industry.

• "Bustling Ariake Creation Council" is working with the aim of providing the Ariake area with excitement and making it a comfortable place for visitors. As a leading member of this council, we are actively promoting measures to achieve these objectives. The "Covered walkway" popular among visitors to the Ariake area is one of the results of these activities.
• Our stuffs sweep the East Promenade, squares and pavement in the surrounding area to keep them clean.
• Making space available for the "Global Environment Information Display" organized by the United Nations Environment Programme ( UNEP ) and "Drawings & Slogans for tree planting campain exhibition"organized by Tokyo afforestation promotion committee, we provide cooperation and support in public relations efforts involving global warming issues.
• From 2010 we have been running Light-Up Illuminations of the Conference Tower ( the tower which symbolizes Tokyo Big Sight ) as a means to revitalizing the local economy and promoting the charms of the area far and wide. The lights we have been using for these illuminations are environmentally friendly LED flood lights.
